Tri-Cities Area

The Tri-Cities offers great weather – 300 days of annual sunshine – a beautiful landscape, and a booming wine industry complimented by diverse culinary experiences.

Oak Wine Barrel

The region is a popular destination for wine tours. It is in the Heart of Washington's Wine Country where more than 100 area wineries produce world acclaimed and award-winning wines.

The area's three adjoining cities, Richland, Kennewick and Pasco, meet at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers. The rivers provide a host of year-round recreational activities.

A special feature is the Hanford Reach National Monument, the last free-flowing stretch of the Columbia River. Visitors can take a jet boat tour of the Reach and discover the wonderful wildlife, geography, history and science that are part of the area's natural and human history.

The Hanford Site, adjacent to Richland, is a hub of major environmental cleanup programs, scientific research at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and energy power generation. Visitors are welcome to explore the area's Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science and Technology Museum, which is near the Red Lion Hanford House. Energy Northwest's Nine Canyon Wind Farm Visitor Centers is an interesting source for energy information.
